Greenstone Wildlife Estate lies adjacent to the historically famous town of Barberton - the “Gem of the Lowveld”. Like a radiant pearl it is shelled in a huge crater at the foothills of the majestic Makonjwa mountain range with stunning 360° views across the Barberton valley towards Kaapsche Hoop and around. It forms part of the so-called “Route 38: Gateway to the Wild Frontier”. Ancient greenstone rocks dating back 3.5 billion years adorn the magnificent mountain land scenery. These lofty mountains are often shrouded in mist and the tree lined valleys are filled with crystal clear streams running through indigenous forests.
Greenstone Wildlife Estate has it's own airstrip for private use. The Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is a mere 40-minute drive from town with daily flights to and from Johannesburg and other regional destinations such as Cape Town.
